A LITTLE BIT WARMTH

HIDDEN IN MY HEART

Today is another well-spent day with the mentees from SMK Convent Sentul. As usual, there will be a group or a team to be in-charge the overall activities. This week, we as a mentor and all the mentees are getting more serious than previous weeks while doing the exercises. As we get to know that, there only 2 to 3 days left for them to practices out what they have learned before going for the PT3 test. While doing the exercises, I saw my first week’s mentee, Gana. She was so cute and warm. She pulled a chair and placed it beside her, and then she asked me to sit with her. It sounds like a command from her, but I still act like a little child walk towards her and sit beside her. After few minutes of sharing with her, I got to know that she recovered from a heavy fever, that why she was absent for last week.

45 minutes later, the person in-charge stopped us from doing the exercises. Once the announcement had dropped out, all the mentees shouted “YAY!” Their face expression shows us that they are waiting for this moment for a long time. IT’S TIME TO PLAY! It was the time for us to stretch our body and have fun throughout the gaming session.

Time flies. It’s time for us to pack our things and say goodbye with the mentees. We ended our today’s activities by taking a group photo. It smells lots of reluctant from us and the mentees too. At the moment, I know that my contribution for these few weeks was not that much, but somehow I realized that I probably will miss there and miss the moments spent with them. Before we leave the classroom, some of the mentees come to me and say goodbye. They even take my Facebook Account’s name from me reluctantly, just to make sure that we can keep in touch through one of the social media. They really warm my heart. I will appreciate and thanks for the group photo, as it is a gift for me before we leave from SMK Convent Sentul. When looking back to the photos, suddenly comprehend that how a picture can speak a thousand words.
