ONCE AGAIN, WE ARE

REPRESENTING TAYLOR'S !

Today is the first visit to the designated school for my team. My team was going to the SMK Convent Sentul, a girl school which located nearby the KL area. When I know that the place designated to go is SMK Convent, I feel extra happiness as my high school was also SMK Convent but is not in Sentul. It sounds like going back to my second home, yet, just a little bit upset because we are not on the way to Kajang. In a mean time, we reached there. As we know that we are representing Taylor’s, every one of us is wearing smart but in casual. We walk inside to the classroom that already well-prepared for the PACE's activity and wait for the students come to us patiently. As been informed, there will be a group in-charged to lead today’s class based activities.

We sit inside a circle and start with a small ice breaking game that indirectly make every one of us to speak out and introduce ourselves. The game seems like quite childish for some of us, but it’s a fun and laugh-no-end ice breaking session for me with the bunch of students. At least, I know some of the names throughout this session. After that, we start doing the exercises that had prepared. When looking at the exercises, I only realized we are going to teach them ENGLISH. What’s a tough task for me! True to say that, my English level was not very good, can’t imagine how I am going to teach them. At the moment, I just told myself,” try your best!” and yet, I start to teach my first mentee, Gana. During the teaching session, I realized that Gana is the only girl who very active in the classroom. She very corporate with me and follow my guide step by step to finish the exercises. By the way, we also chitchat while doing the exercises. I found out that this little girl is on the beat with me, and yet our relationship has built.

Every mentee that I interact with are so cute and sincere, I can see God’s creation in this world and feel amazed of it. Meanwhile, a lot of throwback memories popping out in my mind. True to say that, today is a blessed day spent with a bunch of students with full of laughter and joy. Looking forwards to the next PACE session.
