RELATIONSHIP
HAS BUILT
As time goes by, one week has passed. Today is the third week of running the PACE session. As usual, the tutoring session will go first. When every mentor sits with their own mentees, I still standing there and keep looking around. I couldn’t find my mentee, Gana. At the moment, I feel a little bit upset as I wonder why she will absent for today’s PACE session. I walk towards another mentee and continue my tutoring session. A day without my first mentee, Gana, the whole class would be like soundless, just heard the sounds of mentors who are guiding their mentees.
Today’s I get to interact with another Chinese girl, named Tan. She is so shy when her own mentee was teaching her as her mentee is a male. At the moment, I feel that I come at the right time. I help my friend to guide his mentee so that Tan can not to be shy and feel free to ask me any questions.
After the tutoring session, a different kind of activity has been conducted by the group in-charged today. They conduct a competition by doing the word search. As mentee like to play games which can compete with each other to get the rewards, they will easily focus and take part into the activity, meanwhile, they can also get to learn more new words while searching those words. I can say that this activity is really attractive because my classmate and I as a mentor also take part in this activity and compete with our mentees, but at last, the mentees won all the rewards. They are the best, indeed.
In this week, our relationship has built, not only the relationship between a mentor and a mentee, yet our friendship has built. When our relationship has built, tutoring the mentees has become something I love to do and not only just a task for me to finish it.
“We must not take it as a task in my life ♥ should take it as a thing that we love to do in our life.”
