Week 1 ♥ Listen!
Community services initiative – one of the subjects that I take in this semester. Last week, all of us have been informed that we are compulsory to attend class according to our course. Therefore, today is the first week I attending the lecture class for Finance and Economic (F&E) and Banking and Finance (B&F) students only. When I first heard about this subject, I was like asking myself what we can learn from this subject, what is AKPK and thinking different-different possibilities with full of excitement. After few minutes, I knew that something was wrong, suddenly everyone was silent as a dead. When I looked up I realized our respective tutors, Miss Kelly and Mr. Sam were in the class. I have no idea when they came in. When Miss Kelly started the lecture, she starts with further explanation about the project and how important for us to take it seriously in the project, whereas Mr. Sam just sitting there quietly. The first impression that Miss Kelly gave to me was like a mother-in-law who likes to non-stop scolding her daughter-in-law. However, true to say that, Miss Kelly’s sounds can make me feel awake for these 2 hours. I can say that we are just like listening to a talk or a speech during these 2 hours.
When Miss Kelly explaining the details on what we supposed to do throughout this project, there is something came into my mind, something that I feel interesting with. It’s all about the process of guiding the small entrepreneurs or small firms on how to improve their business and educate them to practice a financial planning for their business and daily life too. It seems interesting right? It is. We need to “gabung” or work together with AKPK and also an organization called AIM. When these 2 organizations have been introduced, I started to feel that it will be a challenging project for every one of us especially for me because it seems like a very big project and I am not that kind of person who can think out of the box and comes out with a super creative idea. Yet, 2 hours gone like this. Whole class was just listening, listening and listening to what Miss Kelly said about the project. However, I was exciting this inexperience event as I can learn something new throughout this event and apply the theoretical things that studied into this project.
